About

Netaru Tools is a collection of small utilities for the interruptions that come up while you are writing code or documentation.

Design principles

The first principle is that everything runs in the browser. Because your input never crosses the network, it is safe to paste work data into these tools. That will not change as more tools are added.

The second is that a page should be usable the moment it opens. There is no login and no interstitial: the input is focused, and your previous work is already there.

What is included

Right now: live previews for Markdown, JSON and YAML, and a color code converter. These came first because they are the ones I opened most often. More will follow as I keep running into the same small jobs.

Who runs it

This site is run by one person. Advertising covers the running costs, which is what keeps every tool free.
